Search, train & evolve

Redefining what it means to be an IT business.

Redefining what it means to be an IT business.

It is no longer a secret. The scarcity of resources is very real. So real that some businesses must even reduce their hours of operation or even worse, close some days completely. The field of computer science is not an exception! The solution, according to us, is defined in two simple ways.

Facilitate the evolution of your resources

Maintaining a work environment in which employees are encouraged to evolve is critical in IT. There are several ways to encourage skill development: confront employees with a challenge, promote constructive criticism of the work done and even sponsor activities in which employees can get involved. However, skill development is not only the employees’ responsibility. Companies must also make efforts to stay up to date with the latest technologies. In the area of technology, the synergy between employee evolution and business evolution is becoming a powerful driver to improve your retention rate. Never be a brake on evolution and value intrapreneurs!

Expand your horizons

The company’s involvement in the community is equally important and it is of great significance not to ignore this area. On the contrary, the more you give back to the community, the more you positively inspire the people around you.

Involving your business in the education community is also a great way to give back to your community. It’s the generations of tomorrow that are there and there is no better way to interest people in your field of work than to give them your time. Motivated students will work diligently and graduate easily and fully motivated.

It’s the citizens of tomorrow that we train – the future workers or entrepreneurs in our community.

Shift Group

At Shift, we are actively involved in our community. In the past, we have been involved with local colleges as you can read in the following blog posts: “3rd Place for Alpha” and “The awakening of passion“. This year we decided to approach the youngest to light up their passion. The next generation is impressively bright and brings a different perspective to what we take for granted.

Today, we welcome young people to our offices to offer them an immersive experience, but also to prepare ourselves to face a new generation of enthusiasts who will soon arrive on the job market.
